It is testimony to God’s persevering love that God has blessed the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand with some wonderfully-talented young people. And with the conviction that God’s blessings are given in order to be a blessing to others, a number of these (mostly) young troopers have banded together to make a wee album called Songs for the Road. There’s a couple of stand out tracks (like Jordan Redding’s two offerings – ‘Gather round the feast’ and ‘Kyrie eleison’ – and Zoe Henderson’s and Katie Lee’s song ‘Open our eyes’, performed by Lydia Cole) and a couple of theological disasters. The stand out song, however, is ‘This Light’ by Hannah van Dorp:
