Does anyone know the original source publication of this cartoon? I am trying to seek permission to use it in a booklet that we are preparing.

Jeff – the copyright is held by Michael Leunig (one of Australia’s best known artists/cartoonists), who generally reserves all rights on his images. He might give permission for use if the booklet is not for sale and has a small run, or he might charge. Here is a fan page which suggests contacting The Age (a Melbourne newspaper that frequently publishes Leunig’s work) for copy permission.
