The problem isn’t just the manufacturers….though they don’t help exactly. One of the problems, I believe, is that the medical profession got onto the band wagon of saying that we had to drink two litres of water a day, and so people began carting bottled water with them everywhere, as though somehow all the people before that, in history, had failed to keep up their water levels. The absurdity of it eventually came clear, but by that time, carting bottles of water around had become ‘normal’…it’s going to take quite some shifting
