There’s two new(ish) books on Springsteen: Bruce Springsteen and Philosophy edited by Randall E. Auxier and Doug Anderson; and The Gospel According to Bruce Springsteen: Rock and Redemption, from Asbury Park to Magic by Jeffrey B. Symnkywicz [Reviewed here].
As a long-time Springsteen fan, I’d be keen to hear thoughts from anyone who has read one or both of these. What is their value (for the theologian)? Strengths? Weaknesses? Basic theses? Do they provide a healthy model for cross-discipline study?

Jason,
I love the way the automatically generated related posts make literal and often humorous connections, such as Bruce Springsteen and Alexander Bruce! As a Forsyth scholar raised in New Jersey I got my hopes up for this post: the Boss meets the Cross!
