Apologies for the paucity of regular blogging of late. Our recent move from Scotland to New Zealand (with all the associated hassles) has meant that notebook time has been something of a rarity, although I have missed blogdom.
For those who may be interested, my induction as lecturer at the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership took place last night – with all the associated pomp that Kiwi Presbyterianism could muster. It was a good night and continued the warm sense of welcome that Judy and I have received since arriving in Dunedin just over a week ago. There’s a few pics of the event here. (I’m the good looking bloke in tweed).
Anyway, back to unpacking books …
Congrats, mate — hope you settle into the new job. In these photos, I was pleased to spy Bruce Hamill amongst the congregation — do you know him? He’s an excellent chap.

Thanks Ben. Yes I’ve met Bruce. He’s a great guy, and would that more church leaders had his conviction for the value of theology for shaping their ministries and informing congregational life and mission.

Good to see you Jason – good photos – is it Scottish tweed? You know of course you do, that tweeds were PTF ‘s preferred fashion statement. Keep in touch and glad you’r back blogging. Shalom the noo.

Jim, of course it’s Scottish tweed – from Harris in fact. The young Forsyth did indeed keep an eccentric wardrobe. Not sure about his more mature fashion habits though. For my mind, the tweed is comfortable, breathes well and spans the divide between formal and casual.
