“Hunger” is one of the best movies I have seen. I think it jumps out at me because it demonstrates that it is the love of life in all its beauty that drives some folks to embrace their own deaths (because they do not understand why abundant life should be hoarded by some at the expense of others). It’s not hatred, madness, or whatever that motivates here — it is love, the love of abundant life, that motivates. Made me think of Jesus’ warning that those who wish to find life will lose it.
Have you watched “Shame”? Same director and lead… I downloaded it recently based upon remarks made over at “The Last Psychiatrist.”

Thanks for sharing your take on ‘Hunger’, Dan. Of course, it is the love of life not only in its beauty but equally in its mysterious and recalcitrant struggle that is also depicted and borne witness to in the film.

Unplugged: what a great concert! I think I like that band better than the ‘E Street’. Although ‘Live in NYC’ is fantastic.
Btw: caught the first episode of ‘Boss’ (no relation) on the plane home. Definitely a series to watch.
